The Australian Jingle Bells

Hi Mrs.Sawyers, class
On Tusday we sang a song called Australian Jingle Bells we wore singlets shorts and thongs.
And we brang our beach towels.
Mrs. Robinson is from Western Australia and she wore her hat and coat.

How do you celebrate Christmas?
Do you go to the beach? Does Santa surf?

Snuggle Up with Bears Day!

Hi Austalia,

Thank you for the DVD, the chocolates and the Koala book. We love your school!!!

In November, it was PJ and Teddy Bear Day. Koala Lou had lots of fun because we brought in our Teddy Bears and wore our pyjamas and went to an assembly.

We learned that Koala Lou is not a bear, it is a marsupial!

We made an Australia big book. Charlie learned that over 200 years ago European sailors found Australia.
Isaac learned that the Queen of England is the queen of Australia, but holds no real power. This is like Canada.

Grade 2 Sherry, your photos are amazing. The bat cave is fantastic. What scary looking bats!
We had a Remembrance Day ceremony in our school hall too.
It does not snow in Ferntree Gully. It does snow in Victoria on the high mountains.
We are sending you some photos of us with our Dr Seuss hats.
